Hi can you help. How do I automate the sharing of a bunch of say 20 folders, each to a different person? I want to put their names into excel, paste the resulting script/ macro code into a DOS batch file or VBA code. What the script must do therefore is : Windows Explorer \ right click on target folder \ sharing and security \ share this folder \ Share name = BobbyJones$ (where bobbyJones = the original name of the folder); user limit _ allow this no. of users = 1. Then I go into "permissions", remove "everyone" , add Name = BobbyCharlesJones (which the computer recognises), with permissions = full control. Thanks!
